March 3, Rainy and Cool

Hi, so it's wet and cool here today in the Tupelo area. It stormed for some quite sometime this morning, but at 8:10 am, now it seems quiet. I hope the storms have moved on.
Yesterday, we all had a good day when we loaded up at 7 in the morning as a family and traveled to Alabama in pursuit of an SUV for me. We were pleased with the vehicle we got.
Hot Lava

It only had 13 miles on it!

Ethan, our salesman, he was
so helpful and super nice as well
as amusing and entertaining.
It is a 2016 RAV4, and with the coolest color that I had fallen in love with some months ago. We could have gotten the RAV4 in Tupelo, but not in the Hot Lava color I wanted. I knew if I had not gotten the color I wanted, I would have regretted it, so I'm glad we drove to Tuscumbia to get this
We all got what we wanted:)
one. We are all beyond pleased with the SUV. It rides nicely, looks cool, and has what we all wanted in it. I got the GPS package, the Moonroof, and the electronics that I wanted(phone through the car, CD/radio package, etc...), Keira got a movie player for the back seat, with two earphones,(YAY on the earphones, hahahaha), and Matt got a sweet deal, plus the Titanium wheels he wanted on the SUV. Keira is my little electronics expert. She is absolutely perfect with figuring out the navigational and electronic stuff on the car already. She will have to teach me.
The little doggies jumped inside
the car first thing and left tracks, so
we'll have to place a covering
on the seats if they travel in
this car. :)

Spring Is On Its Way

I am so happy to have had a warm day yesterday, and it looks like it's going to be another warm one today. Let's hope. :)
Yesterday, Keira and I began homeschooling, and we made it through our Math class when the men who are working on our house arrived. It was noisy, and the dogs were beyond disturbed at having strangers working just outside the window, and so school was dismissed for the remainder of the day. However, I told Keira that today, we would have to continue with school despite the distractions.
Right now, it is 7:24 and everything is quiet. For now. I usually get Keira out of bed around 8, feed her breakfast, she bathes, and then we began school around 9, and finish four hours later. It's really working out quite well, and we both are enjoying the process. She seems more satisfied, and I am feeling more accomplished with my days. I do enjoy writing, and I'm not quitting, but this is the best move for Keira and me. I am glad I made the choice to pull her from school. There are a lot of negatives with the school system that I do not agree with, and so it was just time to do it.

Keira had another great ride at the barn yesterday. She certainly loves being there and loves Kim and Chandler to the moon and back. I am so pleased to have met Kim and Chandler.  Chandler is the best teenage mentor I could have hoped for to be a part of Keira's life, and Kim is the best Barn Mom. She is always looking out for us other moms and guiding us with her knowledge. I really do appreciate all that she does for our kids and us parents. Thank you, Kim. I love you more than you know.:)
Olaf cantered yesterday! Yay! It is so awesome to see Keira in her happy place. She loves nothing more than to be at that barn and to work with the horses and ponies. And she loves her barn buddies dearly.
Matt is at work of course. He usually rises around 4 am for work but gets home at various times, depending on whether they are working overtime. I am so proud of him and the accomplishments he's made at his job. If it were not for his hard work and dedication, I would not be able to stay home and homeschool Keira. Thank you, Matt, for all that you do. We love you.
Okay, the oven has just preheated, so it's time for me to put the biscuits in and began breakfast. I hope you all have a great day.
